The US markets had a very harsh start to the day, the Dow Jones fell more than 100 points after Japan raised the alert level on its nuclear crisis and some disappointing results. Most Asian markets and Euroland were off as well.

Gold fell for a second day on Tuesday due to a steadier dollar after having hit record highs on Monday, additionally the upgrade of the Japanese nuclear crisis forced investors to safe haven bets.

Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency raised the severity rating of the nuclear crisis at its stricken Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant to seven, the same as the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
UK CPI results lower than anticipated

UK CPI was realaed this morning with lower results than expected by 50%. The prediction was 0.6% while only 0.3% was given. This pushes a fall in infaltion for the first time since July 2010.
