Asian markets lower today on the back of the ongoing Japanese nuclear crisis and profit taking. As of the close the major indexes were off, the Nikkei was trading at 9,555.26 off 164.44 points or -1.69%. The Hang Seng was trading at 23,976.37 off 326.70 points or -1.34% and the Straits Times in Singapore was trading at 3,138 off 22.44 or -0.71%.

Seoul Composite was off 32.99, Tawian Weighted off 147.68, BSE 30 off 188.91, Kakarta Composite off 26.60, KLSE Composite off 18.08, NZSE 50 off 9.98.
