Jobless Claims at 427K

In the U.S.A, the number of people who filed for unemployment for the first time in the past week has increased from last week’s 422,000 to 427,000 individuals this week. Jobless claims were released a little higher than the expectations of 424,000.
BoE keeps Bank Rates steady

Monetary Policy Committe at the Bank of England decided to keep Bank Rates the same at 0.50%; as released minutes ago. Everything was as expected as the Bank Rate remained the same, as well as the Stock asset purchase which was not changed from 200 billion.
Euro above 1.46 prior to ECB statement

The Euro opened up at near 1.47 highs earlier in the morning versus the U.S Dollar and tumbled down only to stop before exiting the 1.46 line. The european currency is keeping steady, awaiting for Trichet’s ECB statement later today.
Housing Corporation at 184K units

Canada’s awaited Mortgage and Housing Corporation news release came out just minutes ago. Housing Starts was released at 184,000 for May, up from April’s roughly 179,000 units. The announcement for Canada was in line with expectations, which run at 184,000 units too.
German Industrial Output falls unexpectedly

As the Euro opened high at 1.4693 against the U.S Dollar; a volatile nature was observed throughout the day as the pair jumped from the opening high to 1.4650 before gaining again to 1.4570; only to fall again after euro nation news that Germany’s Industrial Output was released lower than expected. EUR/USD fell to 1.4622 shortly after the announcement.
