The change in the price of goods and raw materials purchased by manufacturers in the United Kingdom rose unexpectedly from -1.8, which was the report in August, to 1.7% in September while expectations rallied around 1.3%.

United Kingdom’s Services PMI rose unexpectedly in September after an eight month August low of 51.1. Economists expected an even larger drop to 50.6 after the big fall to 51.1, a low that hasn’t been marked since January.

Great Britain’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index rose by 51.1 points in September. Economists predicted that PMI would drop in September by 0.5 points compared to last month’s actual release of 49.4. Predictions stood at a 48.9 drop, and was released on a positive note of 51.1.

German Unemployment Change was released, measuring the change in the number of jobless people during the previous month. The number of unemployed people in September declined even further, for the 27th month. Unemployment changed declined by 26,000, much better than -9,000 forecasted. Previous unemployment change stood at -9,000.

House Prices in the United Kingdom were little changed this month in September as they increased by 0.1% as expected. The HPI in August was minus 0.6% in Great Britain. Price of a typical home is now 166,256 British Pounds.
