Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)
CME is the largest futures exchange in the U.S. and the second largest exchange in the world for the trading of futures and options on futures. The exchange offers futures and options on futures in four basic product areas: interest rates, stock indexes, foreign exchange, and commodities. Founded as a not-for-profit corporation in 1898, CME became the first publicly traded U.S. financial exchange in December 2002.
