The Department of Labor released its weekly data on unemployment claims.
Surprisingly in the week ended December 10th the number of Americans who applied for unemployment benefits dropped to the lowest level in three years.
Jobless claims fell by 19 000 to 366 000. Experts estimated growth of 4 000 to 390 000.

The change might indicate slow healing of the fragile employment market in U.S.

Still, at the time of data release dollar extended losses against euro, with EUR/USD to trade at 1.3037.
