U.S. economic data
The Commerce Department reported today that country’s Core PCE index improved in December.
The seasonally adjusted Core Personal Consumption Expenditure price index grew by 0.2% exceeding expectations of 0.1% increase in December.
November’s data was revised at 0.1% increase.
Annually Core PCE index increased at 1.8% pace in December.
Personal income improved by 0.5% in December.
Analysts expected 0.4% growth.
Unlike income, personal spending indicator reminded almost unchanged in December instead of 0.2% increase expected.
