U.K. Manufacturing PMI

The British pound kept on improving after Markit reported unexpectedly high increase in manufacturing activity in U.K.

The manufacturing PMI grew by 2.4 points to reach seasonally adjusted 52.1, exceeding expectations of 0.4 points rise.

A PMI’s reading below 50 points indicates contraction, over 50- expansion.

A manufacturing output rose also in Europe, India and China in January.
