Industry in Europe slowed down

Industrial production in the euro area in April 2012 fell by seasonally adjusted 0.8%. Analysts had expected a decline of 1.2%. – Eurostat announced today.
Year to year, industrial production fell by 2.3% against the expected decline of 2.7 percent.

The March drop in production on an annual basis was 1.5% revised data showed today.
In the EU-27 industrial production fell in April by 0.4% on a monthly basis, while the former fell by 0.2% after correction.
