Canada’s Building Permits and Ivey PMI

It has also been an important day for the Canadian Dollar as news reports about Building Permits and Ivey PMI were released; both capable of manipulating the CAD.

Building Permits in Canada which measure change in the total value of new building permits issued were increased by 17.2% (good for currency), as announced in a press release earlier today, worth $6.8B; the highest level seen since June 2007.

Ivey Purchasing Managers' Index fell from 73.2 to 53.7.  Lower also than the estimated 67.1

USD/CAD is currently trading at 0.9639

EUR/CAD is trading at 1.4145
