China’s gross domestic
China's gross domestic product growth eased ever so slightly in the first quarter of 2011 to 9.7 percent from 9.8 % in the previous quarter from numbers released today.
Consumer prices rose 5.4 % in March from a year earlier, accelerating from February's 4.9 % to a 32-month high.
China's GDP in the first three months was up 2.1 % from the final quarter of 2010 on a seasonally adjusted basis.
Economists had forecast first-quarter growth of 9.5 % and 5.2 % inflation in March
