UK current account released at a deficit of 2 billion pounds

United Kingdom’s current account deficit was 2.6 billion Sterling in the Second Quarter of 2011; down from the previous quarter of 4.1 billion pounds.

According to the Office of National Statistics United Kingdom’s Visiable Trade Balance was release much better than expected. UK Trade Balance for the month of July was reported at a deficit of 8.2 B. Report for the current month of August were expected to drop lower as much as -8.8 B. Instead, UK Trade Balance made a correction to a deficit of 7.8 B.

U.K’s Current Account was recorded with a deficit of 9.4 billion Pounds in the first quarter of 2011. Economists were widely off, as predictions were expected at 5.0 billion Pounds; whereas a 10.5 billion Pounds was previously recorded quarter.

U.S Durable Goods unexpectedly rose more than predicted in May to 1.9% as the U.S economy Gross Domestic Product grew this quarter.

Monthly Sales Volume announcement was released earlier today. Results were expected to be released lower than last month, as predicted by economists.
1.1% last month, forecast was expected at 0.5%. Instead, Retail Sales dove even further to be released at -1.4%.
