Unemployment rate in U.K. held steady at 8.4%.
The U.K. Office for National Statistics reported today that country’s unemployment rate reminded unchanged for the third time at 8.4% in line with expectations.
It is the highest reading since 1995. The report says that total number of unemployed people reached 2.7 million in February.
A number of people filling applications for unemployment benefit climbed by 7 200 in February, increasing successively for 12 months. Analysts expected only 6 000 increase in claimant count.
