U.S. Initial jobless claims down by 15 000…

The Labor Department reported today that number of Americans filled applications for unemployment benefit decreased more than expected.

For the week ended February 4th number of claims fell by 15 000 to reach seasonally adjusted 358 000 instead of 369 000 expected.

The number of claims under 400 000 for the next week indicates good labor market condition.

The less volatile measurement of jobless claims, by 4 weeks average fell by 11 000 to total 366 250.
