Unemployment rate in U.K. declined from 8.3% reported last month to 8.2% in April. That gave total number of jobless people in Britain at 2.65 million.
The change might have been caused by significant decrease in U.K’s claimant count index. The Office for National Statistics informed today that index lost 13 700 people in April. Economists expected a gain at the level of 5 000.
Data from March was revised to decline by 5 4000.
The couple EUR/USD was traded at 1.5970 after report release.
