U.K. unemployment rate reminds at 16-years high in January…

According to U.K. Office for National Statistics jobless rate reminded at 8.4%, reaching in total 2.67 million people in January.

The average earnings increased by 2.0% instead of 1.8% expected.

Report also showed that employment in U.K. grew by 60 000 to give total 29 million.

The number of British filing applications for unemployment benefits increased by 6 900, highly exceeding expectations of 3 200 in January.

December’s revised data showed 1 900 increase in claimant count change.
