U.K Lending to Individuals down to 0.4 billion pounds
U.K released its 'Lending to Individuals' for June 2011. This Index measures change in the total value of new credit issued to consumers. As a monthly release, the report for June dropped at 0.4 billion pounds, rather than 1.3 billion pounds as economists had predicted. Net lending to individuals is down compared to May's release of 1.4 billion pounds.
Sterling opened at 0.8754 against the Euro in today's trading session, marking a high of 0.8783 and a low of 0.8739 so far.
