The UK unemployment hit the highest level in 17 years.

The amount of unemployed in the end of October reached 2.64 million, the highest since 1994.

In the period from June to September 67 thousand people lost job in public sector. Private sector rose by 5 thousand employees.

The unemployment rate for whole country rose to 8.3% from 7.9% in previous measure.

The amount of unemployed until age of 24 rose to 1.027 million, highest since 1992.
The Jobless claims for benefit rose 3,000 to 1.6 million in November.

After UK unemployment data release Sterling was little changed against dollar.
