Retail sales in U.K. slightly increased in June

The reading of retail sales volume in U.K. disappointed today. According to Office for National Statistics index improved only by 0.1% instead of at least 0.6% gain forecasted.
Data from May was revised today to seasonally adjusted 1.5% rise.
Comparing with June 2011 retail sales rose at slower pace than expected. During the year index improved by 1.6%.
