US stocks have started the week with modest gains.

US stocks have started the week with modest gains. Dow +33.66, Nasdaq +4.74 S & P +3.22. The dollar has gained ground against the euro this morning as well. Silver prices have attracted renewed buying interest, although gold prices have come down. Oil prices are also down this morning in early trading off the back of the possible Libyan cease fire.
 
Oil prices are now down about 0.8% in the first few minutes of early trade and was trading around $111.90 per barrel. As for gold, it is down 0.4% to $1469 per ounce. Silver is up 1.5% at $41.21 per ounce, moving the silver/gold ratio now to under 36.
